A new hobby unlocked… Homeownership 🏡✨ The last A new hobby unlocked…

Homeownership 🏡✨

The last two months have been a complete whirlwind. Buying a house was not something we envisioned happening in 2026 but God has blessed us beyond measure.

Its a long story but it was the first and only house we saw. We weren’t even in the mindset to buy. We thought we’d wait another year or two. I went to the showing of this house and it felt like home the second I walked in. We put an offer in that day and waited for 72 hours after a previous contingency offer. We got the house.

Ever since, we’ve been busy with all the paperwork, appointments, phone calls, packing, renovations, and cleaning that comes with becoming first time home buyers.

So, this is where I’ve been the last two months. The Lord has blessed us with a house even better than we could have imagined ourselves. It’s the perfect size and location, has so much natural light, a front porch, so many established perennials, rose bushes, and a strawberry patch.

I can’t wait to cultivate life in this home for many, many years.

The month of May has been a bit of a whirlwind. I’ve been making quilts, getting outside, wearing many of my memade skirts and dresses, and thanking God for an answered prayer that we didn’t even anticipate when the month started.

The Moonlight Dress by @sustainably.gabrielle is f The Moonlight Dress by @sustainably.gabrielle is finally here. ✨

What a labor of love for this pattern. You can tell that Gabrielle’s attention to fit is so clear in this design. It’s so flattering on so many body types yet there’s room to move.

For my version during the pattern test, I added 2cm to the neckline for a little more coverage and spaced the buttons 4cm apart.

I love the waist tie for a cinched waist but could see myself making this dress in another version with a more relaxed fit.

The design is perfect for breast feeding moms and women in any stage of life.

There’s nothing quite like a classic star block qu There’s nothing quite like a classic star block quilt. ⭐️

I had the wonderful opportunity to test the new Louis Quilt Pattern for @summerflora.co . It’s an easy beginner pattern is perfect for those wanting to dip their feet into the world of quilting. It comes in 3 sizes and I know I’ll be making many more iterations of this pattern.

I made this entirely from scraps in my stash. The green fabric is a gingham from @linenlab.co.kr and the white is from a thrifted cotton duvet cover. I decided to make a scrappy binding with the leftover fabric and also had just enough batting in my stash to finish off this quilt.

I opted for a grid quilting as I love how it looks the most.
