About this Free Blouse Pattern

This pattern is great for beginner sewists since it is bias binding free! The square neckline is modest and easy to wear. The elasticated sleeves are easy to make and add an elevated sleeve to a simple top. Bust darts add a feminine shape to the boxy silhouette of this blouse.

Pauline Alice Patterns has shared a well-written pattern with detailed illustrations that are easy to read for any level sewist. They have also written 4 blog posts with easy modifications for a button-up breastfeeding-friendly blouse, long sleeves, a baby doll dress, and a straight dress.

Why I love This Pick

I haven’t made this pattern yet, but I can totally imagine it in my closet. While puffed sleeves aren’t usually a style in my closet, I think I would measure the elastic a bit larger than just around my bicep for a looser fit. I love that it’s a boxy top, allowing it to be worn on many different occasions.

Pauline Alice Patterns has a wide array of patterns and blog posts that will help you to become a more confident sewist. They offer unisex patterns and kids patterns, too!
