I might not have touched my sewing machine in a month, but I have been growing baby plants, getting in some hikes, started running again, started a new book, started learning about herbalism, celebrated a birthday, and finished a leather bag (blog post coming soon). ✨

My sewjo came back for a bit but, honestly I’ve be My sewjo came back for a bit but, honestly I’ve been in such a creative slump.

I can’t seem to figure out exactly why it’s got me stuck. I slowed down a lot this past winter. It was nice to watch episodes of shows or movies without feeling like I simultaneously had to do something with my hands. It was nice to work on projects without deadlines or to work on only a bit at a time. (Although I did partake in a few big projects with deadlines and quickly figured out that I am not in a season of life where I can meet them.) I also seem to be in a rut where almost everything I sew seems to not work out in some way and that is HARD.

I also think I’m a bit burnt out from spending A LOT of time last year getting Wool Wren off the ground. I’ve had some time to reflect about my creativity and how it flows into a blog and social media. I’ve become less concerned with trying to please the algorithm and more about fostering a community. Truthfully, this was my intention from the start and it’s always been there. I’ve always wanted to help you learn more about how you can add more natural fiber pieces to your wardrobe.

So here’s to slowing down and continuing to make things with intention. Maybe the inspiration will come back with the spring flowers, but for now my creativity is still in hibernation. 🐻

Linen is anything but ordinary… It’s been a natur Linen is anything but ordinary…

It’s been a natural fiber that has been used to make garments for centuries. I fell in love with it in my own handmade and slow fashion wardrobe.

⬆️ Head to the link in my bio to check out the full blog post with more info about why I love this fiber so much.
