The start of the blue and white quilt I’ve been dr The start of the blue and white quilt I’ve been dreaming of for years. 💙🤍

There’s something about a simple bi-color quilt that just awakens something in my soul.

I’ve spent the last couple years collecting various fabrics in blues, whites, and creams. I’ve thrifted some, found a couple at local antique shops, and added a FQ here in there when I’ve made online orders.

I spent way too much time trying to figure out which pattern I would use to feature these fabrics. I wanted something that was FQ friendly, had stars, and was over 60” square.

The more I thought about a pattern, the more drawn I felt to making a sampler quilt. I’d still consider myself a beginner when it comes to quilting as there really aren’t a lot of different blocks or techniques I’ve tried.

Late last year, I saw that @jessicadayon was putting on her annual Scrappy Sampler. I was a fan of her previous designs so I decided that I would sew along to this mystery quilt along.

I finished the first week’s blocks (Block 1 & 2) and I’m so happy with my decision. ✨ *block 2 has a mistake but I thought it was kind of cute so I left it.
